Who we are

Doctor Carissa is a small business run by Carissa Spisak as a sole proprietor in the United States. We make printables sold through Etsy and run this website and an email newsletter. Questions about privacy: hello@doctorcarissa.com.

What we collect

When you join the email list

• Your email address.
• The page you signed up on, and which free printable you asked for, if any.
• Campaign tags that were in the link you followed (for example, that you came from Pinterest).

We use these to send you the newsletter and to learn which pages and printables people find useful.

When you use the signup form

To stop automated abuse, we record a scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address each time the form is used, and limit how many sign-ups can come from one place in an hour. The code can’t be turned back into your IP address.

When you browse

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies and does not identify you. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and keep it secure. If we add another analytics tool, such as Google Analytics, we will update this page before it goes live.

What we never ask for

We don’t ask for health information about you or anyone you care for, and please don’t send it to us. We don’t need it to make or deliver a printable.

Purchases happen on Etsy

Our printables are sold through Etsy. Etsy handles checkout, payments, downloads and refunds, and we never see your card details. Etsy shares order information with sellers so we can fulfill your order, and we use it only for that. Etsy’s own privacy policy covers everything you do on Etsy.

Who helps us handle your information

• beehiiv sends our newsletter and stores your email address and subscription status.
• Supabase hosts our database, where we keep our own copy of the signup list.
• Vercel hosts this website.
• Ahrefs provides cookie-free visit statistics.
• Slack carries an internal notice when someone signs up, showing only a shortened form of the email address.

These providers process information on our behalf. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, beehiiv keeps a record so you don’t get emails again. If you ask us to delete your information, we remove it from our list and our database.

Your choices

• Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@doctorcarissa.com. We answer within 30 days.
• Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have more rights under state law. We honor them for everyone, wherever you live.

Children

Many of our printables are for kids, but this website and our email list are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has signed up, email hello@doctorcarissa.com and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For big changes, we will tell subscribers by email. See also our terms of use.
