First / Then Photo Board

This file is a piece of our Photo Visual Schedule, the full kit with a week board and day strips Photo Visual Schedule. Here the first/then part comes on its own, with more boards: first/then and now/next in three colors, a big first/then sheet, "first, next, then" strips, pocket boards for the bag, and the cards. The cards you make here work with the full kit if you add it later.

4. 2 three-step strips with all-done boxes: "first, next, then" and a blank one, with 4 pocket fronts to tape over the boxes

6. 24 large photo-frame cards with a 2 inch photo window: things you do (orange), places (green) and people (purple)
7. 48 mini cards with a 1 inch photo window, including 6 surprise (?) minis
8. 12 write-on cards with lines instead of a photo window, for a word until you have a photo
9. A 2-page setup note: which photos to take, getting photos onto cards, printing and laminating, and how to use each board

How it works

1. Take 6 to 10 photos around the house, from your child's eye level.
2. Print them 2 inches square (six fit on one 4x6 print) and glue them into the card frames.
3. Print the boards at 100% scale, laminate, and add hook-and-loop dots (Velcro).

Sizes and format

• 2 PDF files: the same 17 pages in US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) and in A4. Cards and slots are the same size in both.
• Every slot is sized for a laminated card with a 1/8 inch clear edge.
• Every page has a 1 inch check ruler. Print at "Actual size" with background graphics on.
• The photo frames are blank: you add your own photos. No clipart and no stock photos are included.
• Instant download. No physical item is shipped. Laminating pouches, hook-and-loop dots and photo prints are not included.
